Mouse Deer and Tiger Storytelling by Swee Yean

Today I am very glad to write something about a very clever storyteller from Singapore, Swee Yean.
Here you may watch her storytelling video of the story Mouse Deer and Tiger.
I think what she shows is a perfect lesson of the rules about telling stories with children.
We may also say in general.
As you can see in the clip, she use everything she has to catch the young audience attention and to lead them into the story.
She use her voice in every way, playing skillfully with it, up when the tale needs and down for the same reason.
She use her body too, as important part of the scene she is in.
She use drawings at the perfect time to underline the moment.
As evidence of how it all works impeccably you have to pay attention to the children, silent e carefully listening the story.
I suggest to follow her Youtube Channel.

  1. I feel honoured to be mentioned here. I enjoy storytelling. Thank you. And also thanks to the many storytellers who surround me and have influenced me subconsciously and consciously.
